Individual Voice and Piano Lessons

Lessons for kids and adults

I believe that determination, mutual respect between student and teacher, and fun environment can help to expand (and sometimes even discover!) musical talents. If we can talk, we can sing and play!

I have a curriculum that I generally follow, but since no two students are ever exactly alike, my way of teaching takes different paths with every student. In general, I prefer working as part of the same team rather than as a mentor. I anticipate progress from lesson to lesson and celebrate it with my students.

Music brings harmony, joy and help us connect to our listeners on the most amazing level. There is nothing more exciting than seeing lesson-to-lesson growth and success of my students!

Opera Workshop: March 10 - June 2, 2026

Sing. Act. Laugh. Repeat. Perform.

Ever wanted to sing opera without taking yourself quite so seriously?

Welcome to our 12-week Opera Workshop for Adult Singers - a joyful, slightly ridiculous, deeply musical journey where arias meet acting, characters come alive, and laughter is not only allowed but encouraged.

This workshop is built around iconic operatic arias, duets, and ensembles, woven together into one playful, theatrically connected story, culminating in two fully staged performances at the end of the course. Expect drama, comedy, camaraderie… and maybe a fake mustache or two.

Experience is welcome - but not required. Commitment is.

What You’ll Do (and Enjoy Doing):

  • Sing glorious operatic music (yes, that music)
  • Explore character, storytelling, and stage presence
  • Laugh a lot while doing serious musical work
  • Collaborate closely with fellow singers in a supportive ensemble
  • Discover what your voice and imagination are capable of together

Each singer is cast in scenes tailored to their voice and level, so beginners are supported and challenged without being overwhelmed.

What’s Included:

  • Weekly 90-minute rehearsals focused on vocal technique, scene work, and staging
  • Individual and group coaching from a professional opera singer and vocal coach
  • A fully staged final production with costumes and props
  • A warm, encouraging environment where artistic risks are celebrated

This is an opera workshop where growth happens naturally—through music, storytelling, and shared laughter.

Repertoire & Concept

Our final production features scenes from beloved operas by composers such as Mozart, Cilea, Puccini, Handel, Purcell, and more, reimagined through a fresh, comedic dramatic lens.

Together, we will build a single, cohesive story arc, transforming familiar arias into one unified theatrical experience that is surprising, funny, and emotionally satisfying (sometimes all at once).

Details:

  • Dates: March 10 – June 2, 2026 (no class April 21)
  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Enrollment: Limited to 14 singers
  • When: One weekday evening, 6:30–8:00 pm

Early Start

Piano for Preschoolers and ages 5+

I’m excited to offer a piano program specifically designed for children ages 3-5 and for ages 5+.
An encouraging first music lesson experience is critical to your child's long-term enjoyment of the piano.

I use a method that has been designed for preschoolers called WunderKeys.

Lessons are tailored to meet the needs of preschool-aged (ages 3-5) and beginning piano students (ages 5+) to ensure that their first music experience is both positive and enjoyable.

Falling in love with the piano is easy with the right lessons! With story-based instruction your child will get a head start in music, math and life while:

  • Learning symbol-to-sound recognition
  • Practicing finger independence and coordination
  • Improving aural awareness
  • Learning math skills to assist musical understanding and more
